– We are into a game changer for communication, with an intense focus on value creation for our clients driven by high quality integrated services and more advanced capabilities. The changes are evident throughout the marketplace and happening at an unprecedented speed. BCW (Burson Cohn & Wolfe) is therefore strengthening own competencies within several areas, and expanding its ecosystem of partners. Today we announce that we are entering into a new strategic collaboration with Crux Advisers, a Norway based specialized IR and financial communication consultancy, says CEO BCW Norway, Bente E. Engesland.
Responding to the radical shift, the two communication agencies have already started their joint efforts towards clients within energy, tech and seafood, which are core industries for both BCW and Crux Advisers. The rationale behind the collaboration is to offer complete solutions adapted to client needs, not stand-alone capabilities. In some cases, corporate brand building, change management, financial communication and IR is highly connected areas.
– Innovation overtakes tradition and is the driving force for value creation moving forward, new structures emerge fast, says Engesland.
– We are very excited by this new strategic collaboration with BCW. In relevant cases we become even more client-centric and bring more value for top management and boards with greater impact. The complexity of communication is increasing and combining the strength of both BCW and our consultancy will be a better response to certain situations and company journeys, says Harald Bjørland, Managing Partner at Crux Advisers. Bjørland says that working in joint teams seamlessly is part of the package.
The approach is already put into play when BCW and Crux Advisers supported Shearwater Geoservices when they made the offer for Schlumberger’s seismic arm, Western Geco.
Redirection of BCW
For BCW the partnership with Crux Advisers is taking place as tangible move in a strategic redirection of Burson in Norway, which recently also went through a merger at global level with the digital and consumer-oriented agency Cohn & Wolfe.
Along these lines, Engesland has appointed a new Senior Director, Helena Makhotlova to head up the business areas within digitalization, innovation and change management. Makhotlova is currently a well-recognized strategic advisor and Key Account Manager in Halogen, design consulting company specialized in holistic user experience, innovation and change processes.
– With these measures we are paving the way for a stronger offering in Norway, especially in the sectors exposed to international markets and leadership and transformational challenges, says Bente E. Engesland.
BCW ranks as the third largest full-service communication agency in the world, spanning all industries. Crux Advisers is a leading IR and communication agency, based in Norway with international outreach.
